Olivetti M10 - vintage bærbar fra 1983 komplet med taske og bøger

With its foldable screen the Olivetti M10 is one of the first real laptops launched as early as 1983. The M10 is a great combination of Japanese technology and Italian design. Thanks to its extremely smooth keys, allowing fast typing, its high quality ergonomically designed keyboard, and its long autonomy while running on four standard AA batteries, the Olivetti M10 became immediately on its launch the favourite computer of all journalists around the world. The particularity of this collector´s piece here on sale is: It was put at the disposal of a German freelance journalist, specialised in computer hard- and software, so that he could test it and publish articles prior to the launch of the M10 on the German market in 1983. Other spectacular features of the this little treasure are: The M10 introduced a new function: copy&paste. The blue key “Paste” is dedicated to this function. Two on and off switches to stop/run computer and batteries. The possibility to connect the M10 to a cassette recorder in order to make back ups on a simple music tape! And, of course, as it was in the 1980s quite popular to program yourself the software on your computer, this M10 comes along with its two operation guides and two progamming books (see detailed description below). And, last but not least, an elegant black bag protects the M10 while carrying it like a document case in your hand or under your arm. The computer functions and is outside in very good condition besides a small stain on the back (without any impact on the inner workings of it) and some minor signs of usage, which, given its age of 40 years, might be forgiven.
