J. T. Coppock 4 Draw Pancratic Telescope & Pouch Case

For sale is a vintage 4 draw 20X/15X pancratic pocket telescope and a new hand made pouch case.
It dates from (approx.) the mid 20th century made by J. T. Coppock in Leeds, England. It is engraved with the maker's marks on the 2nd draw down from the eyepiece.
It is in very good condition with some light signs of use and in full working order.
The telescope tubes are made of brass, the grip surface is a textured enamel painted grip, there are some signs of age/ use/ wear with a few tiny chips to the enamel paint.
The front (objective) lens diameter is 35mm/ 1.37 inch. The lenses have been cleaned recently and are clean, they have no chips, deep scratches, bloom, haze or fungus, there are some small faint surface scratches or "cleaning marks" to the front element from years of use and cleaning and some very faint blemishes related to age. There is nothing affecting the view through the scope and it provides a clear view through it.
The focus is by pushing & pulling either of the middle 2 draw tubes in & out. It must be fully extended, except for focusing, to see a focused view through it. It is a Pancratic telescope and has adjustable magnification ('X') power of: 15 & 20, both of these are engraved with incremental lines on the first/ eyepiece draw tube. This first draw tube is slightly tighter than the other 3 so the magnification can be steady or held when in use.
It has a soft plastic eyepiece lens cap that fits on well and is not loose but does have a small split in one side of it. This cap may not be original to the telescope.
The telescope draws out & folds away smoothly as it should. When folded it measures 18.5cm (7.25 inches), it extends in length to 55.5cm (21.85 inches) total. The telescope can be opened for cleaning by unscrewing it from the draw joins/sections.
The telescope comes with a new handmade bag/pouch case made from green 100% cotton velvet, lined inside with chamois suede leather & has a multi coloured cotton drawstring.
