Merry Christmas, Love The Beatles

Beatles fans should prepare themselves for a Christmas cracker this festive season as a one-of-kind Christmas card, signed by each of The Beatles members, is being auctioned on Catawiki, Europe’s fastest growing online auction house. The lot in question is a 1963 Christmas card signed by all four members of the group; John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. Originally addressed to Sylvia, founder of The Beatles’ British fan club, the card features a short note written by the legendary Beatle John Lennon, with additional signatures from the other three members. The signatures of Freda Kelly and Anne Collingham, other founders of The Beatles fan club, also feature in the card. With Christmas just around the corner, this could be the perfect last minute gift for a Beatles enthusiast, leaving even the most Bah-humbug fan feeling festive. This one-of-a-kind lot is being sold by a famous Dutch collector and with bids already at almost at £1500, it could well be the world’s most coveted Christmas card. Ben Fried, General Manager of Catawiki commented, “We see all kinds of collectibles pass through our auctions, but this is one of the most exciting pieces of memorabilia we’ve seen yet, and with Beatle-mania still as strong as ever, we expect to see a bidding war commence over this particular lot.” The auction will run until the 23rd of December and can be viewed via the following link: http://bit.ly/1TcCdH0
