David Bowie Fan Auction

This week Catawiki, Europe’s fastest growing online auction site, has dedicated a special themed auction to David Bowie, showcasing unseen photographs, rare records and framed gold plated discs from his career. The auction, which runs until the 31st January, allows fans from across the world to bid on never before seen David Bowie memorabilia. Included amongst the lots are superb unseen photographs of Bowie performing on stage in the 70s and 80s, as well as a framed 24ct gold plated disc recognising sales of more than 100,000 copies of the album ‘The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars’ in the UK. The items on sale span the depth and breadth of David Bowie’s career and highlight some of his most iconic moments. Fans can own a piece of music history by bidding on records from his duet with Queen and copies of legendary singles such as ‘Heroes’. The items in the weeklong auction have been appraised and certified by Catawiki’s expert auctioneer Denny Hoekstra who specialises in records and vinyl. Denny comments; “This particular auction has been curated specially to give fans the opportunity to share personal memories of David Bowie. Whilst collating these items we were able to get in touch with David Bowie expert Jeroen Ras who personally contributed some of his own collection of rare photographs, making this auction an extremely unique moment for fans.” http://auction.catawiki.com/davidbowie
