AMSTERDAM, 22 February 2024 - Catawiki, the leading online marketplace for special objects, today announces the expansion of its European footprint with the opening of a new office in Lisbon, Portugal. The inauguration of this new establishment, the eighth for Catawiki in Europe, follows a remarkable almost 30% increase in sales for the company in the Iberian region over the past year. Lisbon based employees will mainly focus on customer-facing functions, ensuring an even more excellent service for users in the region.
Lisbon, renowned for its thriving tech scene and rich pool of international talent, is the ideal location for Catawiki's expansion. The office will be situated in the heart of the city at Inscale, a modern Scandinavian-style co-working space that aligns seamlessly with Catawiki's innovative and collaborative work culture, providing a flexible and inspirational working environment. The company goal is to hire over 50 new employees by the year end.
