We look forward to welcoming art enthusiasts and collectors at the fair and online, establishing the Catawiki marketplace as a new place for anyone anywhere to engage with art worldwide."

Catawiki’s mission to democratize the art market
Catawiki opened its doors to independent artists in 2019 with “Direct from the Artist”, with a vision to further democratize the art market. Sales are growing fast, to date, over 200,000 artworks have been sold by independent artists. In 2022, “Direct from the Artist” grew 36% compared to 2021, selling tenths of thousands one year alone. This growth continues in 2023, in the first three quarters around 30% pieces from “Direct from the Artist” have been sold.

By providing access to its global online marketplace and supporting these talents in their businesses, Catawiki offers artists the opportunity to reach a global audience online and keep the vast majority of their earnings, empowering and providing individuals opportunities to develop their business. Almost 80% of their earnings come from different markets than their own, thanks to Catawiki's global presence in over 60 countries worldwide.

Téber, born and raised in Venezuela, seeks positivity and joy in his art. His vibrant, optimistic colors create an eternal sunshine, offering an escape from his country's challenges. Through minimal surrealism, his work embodies relaxation and inspiration. Téber's hyperreal photography evokes a sunny, prosperous world, attracting collaborations with global brands like Dior, Adidas, Google, and Volkswagen. Joost Verhagen (born 1975, NL) found his artistic passion early, influenced by his family and Rotterdam's cityscape. Despite a real estate career, his love for art persisted. After an enlightening journey in the Australian Outback, he embraced painting, graduating in Classic Painting from Antwerp's art academy. Now a full-time painter in Eindhoven, Netherlands, Joost's contemporary landscapes, blending realism and surrealism, captivate global audiences. His work, exhibited in multiple countries, draws inspiration from artists like Carla Klein and Koen van de Broek, resembling transformative scenes akin to Edward Hopper's ordinary yet extraordinary world.
