The auction features many rare first singles, original pictures and artwork, presenting a unique opportunity for Floyd fans to acquire one-of-a-kind memorabilia.
One lot that is sure to excite fans is an extremely rare test press of Pink Floyd’s single, “It Would Be So Nice” from 1968, presented in excellent condition. The test press is thought to be only one of ten in existence, with a similar item previously fetching nearly £1,000 at auction.
The auction also features a unique and original eight-page synopsis for an unpublished book co-authored by Pink Floyd’s legendary designer, Storm Thorgerson and Nick Sedgewick, who was one of the closest journalists to the band. Three years prior to the first ever English-language book on the band being published, Thorgerson and Sedgewick worked on a plan for their book, coming up with this synopsis, written on a typewriter and with handwritten notes. The one-of-a-kind lot gives fans a rare and genuine insight into the world of Pink Floyd from those who knew the band first-hand.

Other notable items include original press photos of the band, original festival programmes and posters as well as artwork by the legendary former frontman Syd Barratt that dates back to the mid 1980s.
Starting out as a collector, Charles Beterams started a record shop called ‘Crazy Diamond’ back in 1997 in Delft, The Netherlands. But with an incurable addiction to all things Pink Floyd, Berterams started an offshoot dedicated solely to Pink Floyd called ‘FloydStuff’ specialising in rare records and memorabilia. This has so far inspired in two books: Pink Floyd On Forty-Five and Pink Floyd In De Polder. Some of the original Pink Floyd items used in the book, or obtained during nearly two decades of research for the books, are now available in this special Catawiki auction.
