You may have seen on the auction pages that we make mention to some aspects of the vehicles in various conditions. For example, there may be a statement saying “Condition(Frame & underbody) 1- Excellent: frame/structure is in perfect condition, no signs of rust or damages”. This refers to Catawiki’s own internal grading system, based on our experts' knowledge and experience of the vehicles submitted into auction. 

We have devised this system to help give a standardised approach to provisioning as much clear information as we can on the subject. Unfortunately there is not an internationally recognised standard for such ratings, and each country, and in cases even regions in a country, have different systems to dictate this information. In addition, it does not refer to the MOT specifics of any country. We hope to make things as clear and transparent as possible by devising this system.
